Badger and Mole are two of the best equipped and most comfortable canal boats available for daily hire. A maximum of 6 people are now permitted per boat for the day.
It is also possible to hire them for short breaks on a pro rata pricing.
The Ashby Canal is lock free passing through beautiful rural landscapes, and in places having the look of a slow meandering natural river. Stoke Golding a village in Warwickshire is the start of the days hire, which is 7½ hrs between 9.30am – 5pm or 10am – 5.30pm or 10.30am – 6.00pm or 11am – 6.30pm
Day Boats are easy to handle and no experience or qualifications are required. Tuition is given and takes about 30 minutes if you are inexperienced or need a refresher.
A “steerer” for the day can be provided at a cost of £65:00 extra, by arrangement at the time of booking.

To remind you, Mole and Badger can be taken out for short breaks, prices are charged at the daily 6 persons rate multiplied by the number of days taken. Bedding is provided for up to 2 people.
A maximum of 6 people are allowed on a hired day boat (dogs are welcome). Reserve your canal day boat early by telephoning to avoid disappointment. 50% deposit is required, which can be paid over the phone with a debit card. On the day the balance of the hire charge is to be paid, plus a £100:00 refundable damage deposit in cash. On return the £100:00 will then be refunded provided the boat is returned on time and without any breakages. Your day begins in the village of Stoke Golding CV13 6EY.
Badger and Mole can both be booked for short breaks, at any time of the year on a pro rata pricing basis, with a 3 to 6 person rate applying. Price is fully inclusive.
Badger and Mole both have the facility to sleep 2 people on one make up double berth.
