Measham Outfitting – 11th November – Towing the shell of Measham to the wharf at Stoke Golding
Beginning the journey under a cloudy sky, but the weather forecast promises better conditions later.
The shell of Measham was tied “tight” so that it would follow the towing boat closely.
John at the tiller, (I think I might have fish fingers for tea).
The sun has come out by the time they get to “Bridge 36”.
The “crew” bringing the new shell back to the boatyard at Stoke Golding Wharf so that it can begin its fitting out process.
The crew consisted of Doreen, Jennifer, Geoff and John, experienced “boaters”.
Just passing over the viaduct at Shenton.
You can see that the tiller has been fastened in a “neutral” position for towing.
