Measham Outfitting – 15th. January – Installing the Pipework, and the Bulk of the Internal Cladding
Christmas and New Year break is now well behind us and the rate of the fitting out is back at full pace. If I miss a couple of days visiting the boatyard I have missed the opportunity for particular photographs.
In the following images you will see that all the ceiling cladding is in place, along with all the lower cladding panels.
The joints between the panels will be capped with hardwood strips at the finishing stages.
The lower cable runs are now covered by the cladding and the necessary cables for later fitting to appliances and controls have been passed through the panels at the appropriate points.
A picture of the ceiling cladding surrounding the roof skylight, with the picture below showing a close up of the foam insulation between the steel roof and the ceiling panel.
And yes, that is rain on the top of the skylight, it has been a quite wet in Stoke Golding just lately, and likely to be getting wetter.
The good news is Measham is now fully weather proof.
The bulk of the pipework for both the fresh water system and the central heating system has now been installed.
The connections to actual appliances in the kitchen and bathroom, the central heating boiler, radiators, engine calorifier, etc. will take place later on during the fit-out.
Only then will the pipes be “boxed in”.
The cables now fitted but waiting to be connected to power sources, the control box and appropriate controls.
The ceiling cable ducts will be capped later, in the finishing stages of the fit-out.
The gas pipe now being fitted to supply gas to the central heating boiler, cooker and refridgerator.
